FAWN Pug Most common color found in the Pug |
There are variations of Apricot fawn, from warm to rich apricot. This pug displays a warm hue of apricot to it's fur. |
The colder version of the standard warm fawn. Usually with silvery points, and a stronger trace along the back. the colour is beautiful but may be frowned on by many show breeders, and incorrectly labeled smutty, which it is not. |
This colour is an ultra light fawn minus any dark hairs in the fur like the regular coloured fawn but is being registered as silver/fawn by the AKC registry..We believe it should not even be in the "silver" catagory. In all other breeds silver is actually a silver color, but not in the pug breed...why is this???????? Not only are they registering this color as a silver/fawn,but they are also registering the silver/grey pug as a silver/fawn,which is absolutely NOT...none of this makes any sense. |

White Pug
The white pug is registered as white, but look do you see much difference between a white and what they classify as a silver/fawn,no I don't either. This is because we have produced what the Pug Dog Club of America terms as a silver/fawn from a white pug,the only difference between a white pug and a silver/fawn is the dark points on the mask and ears. |

The AKC registers this color as silver/fawn yet in the standards silver/fawn is classified as a light fawn the color of moon light with a black mask and trace.. We believe this color should be registered what it is,a Silver/Grey. |
More of a pattern than a colour; An apricot brindle & a fawn Brindle. |
Notice the lack of Pigment |
This is a fawn with a bleeding of dark hairs throughout their fur,not a desirable color in the show world, but loved by those who own them just the same. |
